Blackhole ("we") takes your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information Collection
As a locally-running remote terminal tool, Blackhole is designed with data minimization in mind:
Terminal Data: All terminal session data is transmitted directly between your devices and is never stored on our servers
Connection Information: When using the Wormhole relay service, we only process necessary connection metadata (such as session IDs) and do not log terminal content
Device Information: We do not collect device identifiers or personally identifiable information
2. Data Transmission
Depending on your chosen connection mode:
LAN Mode: Data is transmitted directly between your devices without passing through any third-party servers
Wormhole Mode: Data is relayed through our server, but content is encrypted and unreadable by the server
3. Data Storage
We do not store any user terminal data in the cloud
Paired device information is stored only on your local devices
Wormhole servers do not retain persistent session data
4. Third-Party Services
If you deploy your own Wormhole server, you are responsible for data handling on that server. Our public relay service follows this Privacy Policy.
5. Open Source Transparency
Blackhole is open source software. You can review our code on GitHub to verify our privacy commitments.
6. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated policies will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
